BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lafayette men's lacrosse team finished up its 2013 season in Bethlehem, Pa. on Saturday evening with a 14-5 loss to archrival Lehigh. The Leopards ended the year with an overall record of 3-10 and went 0-6 in conference play.

Junior goalkeeper Jake Hyatt's double-digit save streak ended as he came up just one shy on the evening with nine saves and 14 goals allowed.

For Lehigh, Dan Taylor notched four goals and three assists, while David DiMaria chipped in with three goals and three assists.

The Mountain Hawks edged Lafayette in most of the major statistical categories with a 42-36 advantage in shots and a 29-28 edge in ground balls. Lafayette did have the edge in faceoffs with senior Greg Rau winning 12 of the 23 draws.

Lehigh proved its national ranking early as it scored the opening four tallies with two from Taylor to take a 4-0 lead with 5:25 remaining in the first quarter. Bock and Wanke connected on opposite ends of stat sheet to stop the run and cut the lead to two at the end of the first quarter.

In the second, Lehigh dominated as its five goals were matched by only one tally from Bock. After the halftime break, Lehigh kept control with a 4-1 advantage in the third quarter and cruised in the fourth for the 14-5 victory.
