Easton, Pa. - Lafayette women's lacrosse erased a 5-3 deficit early in the second half to come away with a 12-6 win over Binghamton on Saturday afternoon. Laura Kleiber and Charlotte Avallone led the way for the Leopards with four goals apiece.

The Maroon and White scored nine straight goals in the second half to build a seven-goal lead. Ana White netted a hat trick and handed out a pair of assists for Lafayette, as the Leopards improved to 3-2. Meghan Curtin earned the win making five saves. Erin McNulty made 12 saves in goal for Binghamton (2-1) in the loss.

Lafayette got on the board first when White converted a free position shot with 23:16 left in the opening half. Four straight goals from Binghamton gave the Bearcats a 4-1 lead late in the first half. Kleiber and Avallone each found the back of the net in the final two minutes to pull the Leopards within one at the half.

After a goal from Binghamton to open the scoring in the second half, Lafayette came roaring back to take control of the game. The run starting with Avallone's second tally of the afternoon at the 25:06 mark, followed three minutes later by Amanda Case's free position goal to tie the game. Kleiber found White in front of the cage less than a minute later to give the Leopards a 6-5 advantage.

Kleiber completed her hat trick with back-to-back goals at 18:16 and 12:02 in the second half. Avallone netted her third and fourth in succession to push the Leopards run to seven in a row with under seven minutes to play. Kleiber scored her fourth, making it 11-5 with 4:37 on the clock. White rounded out the Leopards 9-0 spurt with three minutes to play. Binghamton's Liz Hoeffner converted a free position shot with 1:24 to play as the Leopards went on to win 12-6.

Lafayette opens Patriot League play at Navy on March 8. Opening draw is scheduled for noon and the game can be seen on the Patriot League Network.
