LEWISBURG, Pa. - Junior Greg Grewal was the top individual for the Leopards who completed the Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday at Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium.
Grewal placed 10th in the 200 breaststroke to earn 10 points for the Leopard men. He swam a time of 2:01.63, just a second off his own school record set in 2014.
The Maroon and White also did some damage in the 200 butterfly events. Classmate Jaclyn Andrews swam a 2:06.90 in the finals and 2:05.89 in the preliminary, just behind her own school record time of (2:05.43). She finished in 13th place.
Freshman Sam Haines placed 15th in the 200 fly in 1:52.96.
The Leopards broke a team record in the 400 free relay as Megan Kaveney, Jane Kuntz, Jacqueline Johnson and Sydney Wight topped the previous mark from 2007 by 0.03, swimming a time of 2:32.06.
In all for the championships, the Leopards set nine school records, five on the women's side and four on the men's, and entered 49 new performances into Lafayette's all-time top 10.
Navy captured both the men's and women's titles. The Lafayette men finished seventh of 10 and the women ended in ninth place.
