EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette swimming and diving team opened their season today at home in the Leopard Invitation.
Head coach,
James Dailey thought the team got off to a great start, saying, "It felt great to get the competitive season under way. We've been training since August 27th and it feels good to do something other than train all the time."
Dailey also added that, "A relay meet is a great chance for everyone especially the first years to compete and not be overwhelmed with a dual meet score and who wins the meet. I am surprised by how well all of the student-athletes competed. Most everyone swam 4 of 11 events and had the chance to race some tough competition."
Starting off in the mixed 400-yard freestyle relay, Lafayette placed second and third in the respected event. Finishing second was the team of freshman
Emily Wilson, senior
Kyle Doherty, junior

Mary Zimmerman, sophomore

Ethan Miller took home third.
