GILBERT, Ariz. – Senior co-captain
Theresa Delahanty of the Lafayette field hockey team was selected to participate in the Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division I Senior Game, the NFHCA announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Delahanty is one of 38 players selected to appear in the game, set to take place on Friday, Nov. 16 in Louisville, Kentucky at 6 p.m. Additionally, she was one of four selections from Patriot League institutions, joining Ally Hammel and Allie Doggett from Boston U., Emily Loprete from Holy Cross and Maura Jacobs from American.
Annually, the Senior Game gives top senior players in the nation an opportunity to represent their institution while competing against their peers. This year, the Senior Game will take place in conjunction with the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship in Louisville. The game will immediately follow the conclusion of the NCAA Tournament semifinal games at Trager Stadium.
Delahanty has been a mainstay in the midfield for the Maroon and White for four seasons, playing in 65 games on College Hill. The Washington Crossing, Pa. native has tallied four goals and five assists in her career and is serving as a team captain in her senior season. Delahanty has been active outside of Easton as well as a two-time Young Women's National Championship participant and a member of the U.S. Senior National Indoor Team this past summer.
Delahanty and her teammates return to in-season play on Saturday, welcoming American to Rappolt Field for a Senior Day tilt at noon.
