Field Hockey Closes Regular Season at Bucknell

A win secures Lafayette no less than the two seed in the Patriot League Tournament

- Lafayette travels to Lewisburg, Pa. on Saturday to close out the 2018 regular season. The Leopards battle a Bucknell squad also bound for the Patriot League Tournament as the two sides fight for seeding in postseason play.

- The Leopards swept the Patriot League weekly awards earlier this week as freshman Molly McAndrew was named the Offensive and Rookie of the Week, while senior co-captain Rachel Bird was tabbed as the Defensive Player of the Week and junior Sarah Park took home Goalkeeper of the Week laurels. The rookie honor was the third of the year for McAndrew, a legitimate Patriot League Rookie of the Year candidate, and the Goalkeeper nod was the second this season for Park.

- The Maroon and White have had the better of the Bison through the years, holding a 35-12-2 lead in an all-time series that dates back to 1977. Additionally, Lafayette has won two of the last three meetings, including a 1-0 victory at Rappolt Field a year ago, with the game-winner netted by junior co-captains Lisa van der Geest in the 46th minute.
