Â
Scouting Army

Â
Hovren also is on top of the rebounding charts with 12.5 boards a contest to help the Black Knights lead the conference with 41.3 rpg while allowing the fewest by their opponents at 34.5.
Â
Army also features Jess Lewis who holds the Patriot League's lead in assists by nearly 1.0 with 4.8 a game.
Â
In his 13th season, Army is led by head coach Dave Magarity.
Â
All-Time Series
The matchup dates back to the 1983-84 season with the Black Knights holding a 41-24 advantage overall.
Â
Last Meeting
The Black Knights put two players in double-figures as Hovren scored 23 with 16 boards and Lewis has 22 with seven assists to power Army of Lafayette, 65-50.
Â
Lafayette featured three players in double-figures as
Drew Freeland led the way with 14 and Kucowski added six.
Olivia Martino chipped in 12 with a pair of 3-pointers.
Â
Â
Double-Digit Double-Doubles
Sophomore
Natalie Kucowski recorded her 10th double-double of the season on the road against Holy Cross. She is the first Leopard to have double-digit double-doubles since Danielle Fiacco tallied 10 in 2011-12.
Â
Overtime Triumphs
This is the first time since the 2008-09 campaign that Lafayette has won multiple overtime contests in the same season. The Leopards won their first overtime game since the 2012-13 season, outlasting Albany in double overtime on Dec. 1. They followed that up with another comeback win against Monmouth in extra time.
Â
However, Lafayette lost in overtime for the first time this season at Holy Cross on Feb. 2. This is the most overtime games Lafayette has played since 2012-13 when they went 1-2 in those contests.
Â
Block Party
Kucowski leads the Patriot League in total blocked shots (49) and blocked shots per game (2.2) by nearly 10 and 1.0 respectively. She has tallied 12 blocks in her last three outings.
Â
She has recorded at least one block in all but one game this season and has put together 13 multi-block contests, including performances of six and five rejections.
Â
Havas' Hot Hand
Freshman
Jiselle Havas has been a spark off the bench in a number of games this season for the Leopards, including last time out at Bucknell. The rookie connected on three 3-pointer with a career-high four assists.Â
Â
Short Staffed
Dropping three straight games with fourth quarter leads is a tough pill to swallow, but a series of illnesses have plagued the Leopards in the backend of January. Senior
Alex Cantwell played through illness at American while Lafayette was without junior
Tasha Vipond and freshman
Jiselle Havas for the BU game. Vipond also was unavailable at Holy Cross on Feb. 2 and on the road at Bucknell Feb. 9.Â
Â
Play4Kay
Next time out, the Leopards will be raising awareness for breast cancer in the annual Play4Kay Game at
Kirby Sports Center. Fans can help the cause by pledging towards Lafayette's free throw makes at
gopards.co/WBB19FTs.
