EASTON, Pa. – Twenty members of the Lafayette baseball program are getting some extra experience this summer, playing in NCAA-sanctioned wood bat leagues, while seven are gaining work experience through internships.

JP Woodward has been pitching for the Bourne Braves in the Cape Cod Baseball League, pitching in six games with one start. Over the course of the 8.1 innings, Woodward has a 9.72 ERA with six strikeouts.

Jack Sheldon and outfielder
Nick Maiorano, have stayed in the Lehigh Valley, playing for the Lehigh Valley Revolution in the Atlantic Baseball Confederation Collegiate League. Sheldon has scored four runs, recorded seven hits and driven in two runs so far this summer. Maiorano has pitched six innings over the course of three games and posted a 6.0 ERA and nine strikeouts. Turzai has appeared in 10 games with one start and worked for 19.1 innings on the mound with a 9.31 ERA and 14 strikeouts (the fourth-most on the team).

Ethan O'Connor and catcher
Drew Jansen, who are a part of the Jersey Pilots' roster, and outfielder
Colin Hartey, who is on the Quakertown Blazers, are playing in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League. Jansen has played in five games with one hit, one RBI and two runs scored. O'Connor has appeared in six games with three starts under his belt. In 17.1 innings of work, he has registered one save with 23 strikeouts and a 3.63 ERA. Hartey has seen time in 18 games, belting out 11 hits, three doubles, five RBI while scoring seven runs.

Trey Durrah has been playing for the Easton Falcons of the Blue Mountain League. Durrah, an All-Patriot League First-Team honoree in 2019, has a .280 average with 12 RBI and 14 hits, four doubles and a triple. He has scored 13 runs in 17 games.

Evan Kiah and
Michael Dunn are both playing for the Lombard Orioles, part of the Chicago Suburban Baseball League. Kiah has played in nine games with five hits, five RBI and a stolen base. On the mound, Dunn has faced nine batters in three innings of work and has struck out five.

In the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League,
Frank Craska,
Justin Johnson and
Kyle Subers have all spent this summer playing for the DC Grays. Craska, who became the Leopards' closer last season, has been working on adding more conviction and sharpness to his breaking ball. He has appeared in eight games with one start and has pitched in 22.2 innings. So far, he has recorded a 5.16 ERA, 20 strikeouts and a save.

Subers has appeared in seven games and worked in for 18.2 innings with a 6.26 ERA, 25 strikeouts and three mound wins. Johnson, the 2019 Patriot League Rookie of the year, has continued with a hot bat this summer, cranking out 24 hits, seven doubles, two triples, two home runs, 16 RBI and 22 runs scored in 27 games.

Ethan Stern is the farthest from the College Hill campus this summer, playing for the San Francisco Seagulls in the Golden State Collegiate Baseball League. Stern, who was an All-Patriot League Second-Team honoree in 2019, he has played in 15 games with a.318 batting average to go along with 14 hits, four doubles, three home runs, 12 RBI, 16 runs scored and eight stolen bases).

Tyler Faccenda is playing in the Perfect Game Baseball League in upstate New York with the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs. He has pitched in 12.2 innings over nine games, posting a 3.55 ERA with 13 strikeouts. CatcherÂ
Hunter Silvernail is playing in the New York Collegiate Baseball League with the Rome Generals and is hitting .194 with six hits through 13 games. Â

Mark Anderson, who has posted a 2.36 ERA, the third-best on the team. He has appeared in seven games, five of which were starts, and has thrown 27 strikeouts over 26.2 innings of work.

Dylan Minghini is playing catcher for the Alpharetta Aviators in the Sunbelt Baseball League located in Georgia. He has played in 12 games and has recorded six hits, one double, two home runs and eight RBI.

Michael Landry is on the roster for the Delray Beach Lightning in the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League and has played in 25 games. He's batting at a.286 clip with 20 hits, three doubles, 11 RBI and five stolen bases. Catcher

Mark Glover is shadowing Dr. Callaway with Raleigh Orthopedic, where he has watched surgeries ranging from arthroscopic scopes and distal classical resection to rotator and sub scalp total reconstruction, as well as a few knee surgeries and ACL reconstruction.
Jake Sniegocki is working as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Brown Gibbons Lang & Company located in Cleveland, Ohio.
Brandon Posivak is working at Weinberg Gonser LLP in Los Angeles, Calif. where he is doing paralegal work and assisting the transactional attorneys with drawing up contracts and the litigators with deposition and trial preparation. Brandon is interning with a former Lafayette baseball player Tye Gonser '02, who is a partner in the law firm.
Brett Kreyer is working for Science Application International Corporation in Washington, D.C. where his responsibility is to support Department of State in their Email and Network Operations division.
