Matt Colella and senior
James Reese have earned spots on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Baseball Team announced on Tuesday.
Colella started all 45 games at shortstop for the Lafayette Nine. The junior batted .293 and had a team-best 49 hits, while ripping four home runs and driving in 32 runs.
The Clifton, Va. native holds a 3.61 GPA as an Economics major and was also named to the 2026 Academic All-Patriot League Team.
Reese appeared in 19 games out of the bullpen for the Maroon and White and posted a 1-1 mark in 20.2 innings with a 4.35 ERA, along with striking out 14.
The Mequon, Wis. native maintains a 3.81 GPA, while majoring in Economics and Policy Studies. Alongside Colella, Reese was also added to the Academic All-League Team.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District laurels, nominees must maintain a 3.5 or better GPA, be a starter or key reserve and have completed one full school year.
