Field Hockey Hosts Back-to-Back at Rappolt

Leopards welcome Colgate, No. 25 Monmouth this weekend

* Lafayette returns to action with a packed weekend of hockey, featuring a return to Patriot League play on Saturday and a non-conference battle with a ranked foe on Sunday. The Leopards welcome Colgate on Saturday looking for a 2-0 start to conference action after an 8-0 win over Holy Cross in the opener a week ago. Then, the Maroon and White host No. 25 Monmouth on Sunday, looking to avenge their only loss in a 12-game all-time series in the last meeting in 2016.

* Both games this weekend have events tied to them with the Leopards celebrating their annual Faculty Appreciation Day on Saturday and following that up with raising awareness of Pediatric Cancer during Sunday's contest. For more information on how you can help the Go4TheGoal Foundation and its Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer initiative, please visit Go4TheGoal.org.

* Lafayette's 8-0 win over Holy Cross featured seven second-half tallies and seven different goal-scorers. The win was the biggest margin since a 9-1 victory over Siena on Sept. 1, 2015 and the biggest in league play since an 8-0 win at Lehigh on Oct. 27, 2012.

* Next up for the Leopards is another back-to-back next weekend, traveling to Boston U. and Bryant.
