* Lafayette is looking to bounce back and notch its first win of the season this afternoon when it hosts Boston U. for a 1 p.m. clash at Rappolt Field. The Leopards are coming off a 1-0 loss to rival Lehigh last Sunday at home in the start to their six-game season featuring only league opponents.
* The Leopards are meeting the Terriers for only the ninth time since 2013, when BU became full-time members of the Patriot League. The Leopards own two victories in the series, beating the Terriers, 3-2, in overtime at BU in 2019 and knocking them off, 2-1, in a shootout at Rappolt Field in 2016 when the Terriers were ranked No. 9 in the country. Junior Molly McAndrew had one goal in the 2019 game, helping the Leopards tie the game at 1 before the Maroon and White received another quick goal from Sam Di Maio '20 to take a 2-1 lead at halftime.
* In their first game of the season, the Leopards controlled most of the offensive possession, outshooting Lehigh, 7-3, and drawing six penalty corners to the Mountain Hawks' five. Sophomores Felicitas Hannes and Simone Hefting led the offense with two shots apiece, while senior Audrey Sawers and juniors Molly McAndrew and Alix Talkow each had one. McAndrew and Talkow put their shots on goal for the Leopards, but both were saved by Lehigh.
