EASTON, Pa. - Head coach
Katie McConnell of the Lafayette women's lacrosse program announced the addition of nine newcomers to the Leopards' Class of 2025 on Thursday afternoon. The newest members of the Maroon and White hail from four different states with three each from Pennsylvania and New York, two from Maryland and one from New Jersey.

Haleigh Albrecht:Â Played three years of lacrosse, leading her team to a winning record in all three seasons...served as a captain in her senior season, scoring 35 goals with 5 assists and added 51 draw controls and 42 ground balls...scored 30 goals as a sophomore with 10 assists, 43 draw controls, 60 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers...earned high honor roll status all four years...played on the club circuit with True Pittsburgh 2021 State Elite...served on Student Government and was active in Peer to Peer for Suicide Prevention, Key Club for Community Service and Younglife...volunteered at her local nursing home on Bingo Night...daughter of Cathy and Geoff Albrecht...has two younger brothers, William and Ryan...mother played softball at Delaware and her father played lacrosse at Villanova.
Nora Burns:Â Was a three-sport athlete in lacrosse, basketball and cross country...scored more than 25 goals in her senior season and led her team in ground balls...won a district championship in cross country...served as a lacrosse captain in 2021 and warned PA PrepLive All-Mainline Honorable Mention laurels in 2019...earned the Most Improved Player Award in basketball in 2021 and was a team captain for the 2020-21 season...earned distinguished honors throughout her career and was amember of the History, Latin and National Honor Societies...was a Mercy Scholar, earned awards in History and Geometry, and earned Magna Cum Laude status on the National Latin Exam...served as Co-President of the History Club, designed and sold t-shirts to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital, was a Ministry Team Leader and active in the Latin Club...played on the club circuit with Philly Blast Lacrosse in Philadelphia, Pa...daughter of Sue and Jerry Burns...has two older brothers, Brendan and Riley...mother played field hockey at Saint Joseph's.
Emma Elmen:Â Played two years of lacrosse and field hockey, winning a lacrosse league championship as a freshman and sophomore, and a field hockey title as a senior...named an NYS Scholar-Athlete for both field hockey and lacrosse...member of the National, Social Studies, English and Spanish Honor Societies...recipient of the Gold Chord...participated in Athletes Helping Athletes and Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD)...earned two nods to the D1 Undisputed All-Star Team...awarded a spot to represent Kings PArk, N.Y. in the 2020 Empire Girls State with American Legion Auxiliary...selected to play for the Long Island Metro Team 2 in the Women's National School Girls Tournament in Maryland in 2019...served as the Historian for the English Honor Society...chosen to be the advisor to the Symphonic Band teacher in her senior year...her volunteer credits include Kids Clubhouse in Port Jefferson Station, N.Y., playing in the Symphonic Band for the St. James Nursing Home and organizing books and helping young children at her local libraries...attended numerous leadership conferences and training at Molloy College...participated in a Make-a-Wish Walk to raise money for pediatric cancer...raised money and participated in the Stony Brook Breast Cancer Walk...intends to serve as a Cadet through the Army ROTC program at Lafayette...daughter of Jennifer and Robert Elmen...has a younger sister, Sara.
Lindsay Geiger:Â Played four years of lacrosse and soccer, winning a district lacrosse championship as a freshman...named First-Team All-League and EPC MVP as a senior while serving as a team captain...earned First- and Third-Team honors in soccer while serving as a team captain in her junior and senior seasons...earned high honor roll status throughout her career and won the Amanda Shultz Scholarship...member of the National Honor Society and recipient of the Elton Stone History Award...served as Student Council Treasurer, the National Honor Society Membership Secretary and was involved in Student-Athlete Character Council (SACC), the Miracle League, Special Olympics and TSA...played on the club circuit with Enco Soccer Club, True Lacrosse and T3 Elite...volunteers working with people with disabilities, specifically autism...daughter of Tricia and Matthew Geiger...has a younger brother, James, and a younger sister, Marley...cousin, Abbey Heimbach, is a cheerleader at Maryland.
Ali Krieger:Â Was a three-sport athlete, playing lacrosse, basketball and running cross country...was a three-year lacrosse captain and three-time Team MVP...named All-Conference and her school's Female Athlete of the Year...was a two-time MVP on her basketball team and winner of the Coaches' Award and was selected as the cross country team's Unsung Hero...earned honor roll status all four years and was a member of the National Honor Society...was active off the court and field with Teen Service Council, Students Taking Action for Change, Teen Advisory Council and as the head of the Environmental Club...played on the club circuit with C2 Select in Baltimore, Md...daughter of Jennifer and Jon Krieger...has a brother, Jared.
Izzy Reh:Â Played four years of lacrosse and four years of tennis, serving as her lacrosse team's captain as a junior...won a U17 championship with Interclub Tennis...played on the club lacrosse circuit with C2 Select...four-year member of the honor roll and inducted into the Spanish National Honors Society...was a National Spanish Exam Honorable Mention as a junior...served as a Church Service Acolyte at St. Paul's Lutheran Church...volunteered as a tutor with the Bridges After School Program, a coach with the Edge Lacrosse Camp and participated in the monthly food drive at the Assistance Center of Towson Churches...active in the Health and Wellness, Photography and Multiple Sclerosis clubs...daughter of Julie Cady-Reh and Douglas Reh...has a younger sister, Laney, and a younger brother, Sam...mother played tennis at Maryland and grandfather played basketball and tennis at St. Bonaventure.

Sophia Spallone:Â Was a four-sport athlete in lacrosse, soccer, track and field and skiing...won league lacrosse championships in 2018 and 2019 and was a section finalist each of those seasons...won a league championship in soccer in 2020 and was part of the 4x200M 2019 relay championship group...served as a lacrosse captain in 2021 and a soccer captain in 2020...earned All-League and All-Section Honorable Mentions in 2019 and 2018, and an All-League nod in 2019...was a two-time All-League selection in soccer in 2019 and 2020, and named All-League in track and field in 2019...was a 12-time NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete and consistent member of the Principal's List...served as President of the Smart Investments Club from 2019-21...played on club circuit with Prime Time Lacrosse 2021 in Westchester County, N.Y...daughter of Bridget and Anthony Spallone...has an older sister Clare, an older brother, Robert, and a twin brother, Peter.
