COVID-19 Policy Updates Announced For Campus Events

Proof of vaccination or negative test result will be required for attendance

Update (Feb. 28, 2022) -- In conjunction with the recent masking policy changes announced campus-wide, Lafayette athletics has amended its masking requirement for indoor athletic events.

As of March 1, masks will be optional at indoor athletic events for fully vaccinated individuals. Fans attending indoor athletic events will still be required to show proof of vaccination or a recent negative test. Unvaccinated individuals will be required to wear a mask at all times for indoor athletic events.

Update (Sept. 28, 2021) -- Proof of vaccination/testing status for visitors to campus will now be focused on select alumni and family functions as well as indoor ticketed events including athletic competitions and Williams Center performances. Lafayette still strongly recommend that all visitors be vaccinated for COVID-19, as vaccinations are proven to offset the most serious outcomes of the virus.

EASTON, Pa. – Due to the rise in active COVID-19 cases this week and the high transmission rate in Northampton County, protocols and policies have been implemented regarding outdoor masking and attending campus events.

Much like other organizations nationwide, Lafayette will begin requiring proof of vaccination or a recent negative test for admission to on-campus events, including athletic contests, effective Sept. 20

For Lafayette students, faculty, and staff, a College ID will be required to confirm vaccination status in order to attend athletic events.

Visitors should be prepared to show proof of vaccination or a recent (within 72 hours) negative test upon arrival at all athletics events or gatherings of 20 or more on campus. Children ineligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine are permitted to attend events and are expected to be masked at all times. Game day staff will be on hand to verify entry status at each athletic venue.

In addition to requiring masks indoors, the College now expects everyone on campus to wear masks outdoors when in group settings.
