HAMPDEN, Mass. - The Leopards golf team finished up round two of the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse on Monday afternoon. Lafayette will head into the final round in sixth place, ahead of eight teams.
Freshman Harry Dessel continued to build off of a strong opening round, shooting an even par-72 during the second day of play. Dessel enters the final day of the invitational tied for second place overall.
Sophomore Sean Saw also had a consistent day on the course, coming in one stroke behind Dessel at one-over-par 73. Saw ends the day tied for 20th on the leaderboard. Sophomore classmate Michael Walsh sits tied for 38th, after carding seven-over-par 79.
Rounding out the top four for Lafayette was sophomore Michael Bell who shot four-over-par 76 on the day. Bell sits in a tie for 44th place.
The Leopards will close out the third and final round at GreatHorse on Tuesday.
