BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Winston Kelenc-Blank used an eagle and three birdies to shoot a one-under-par 71 at the Lehigh Invitational on Saturday. After one round, Kelenc-Blank sits tied for second and remains one stroke out of first.
Lafayette is currently tied for second place with FDU at the par-72, 7,051 yard Saucon Valley Country Club after shooting 295 on the Grace Course. The Leopards landed ahead of rival Lehigh (305).
Freshman Liam Brandt and sophomore Travis Robertson both carded rounds of 74 to rest in 14th with 18 holes left to play. Viktor Kofod-Olsen and Harry Dessel each shot four-over-par and sit in a tie for 21st.Â
Hudson Pace, Reed Theiss and Valdemar Kofod-Olsen all represent the Maroon and White as individuals. Pace's seven-over-par 79 placed him in 42nd. Theiss (84) and Kofod-Olsen (89) finished the round in 61st and 66th, respectively.
Pacing the 12-team field is Evansville, which shot a two-over-par 290. Lafayette and FDU follow right behind by five strokes. FDU's Pietro Maria Piccoli sits atop the individual leaderboard after carding a two-under-par. Kelenc-Blank and Evansville's Daniil Romashkin follow behind.
Lafayette retakes the course for the final round of the invitational on Sunday at 10 a.m.
