Men’s Lacrosse Outruns Drexel in 13-11 Victory

Lehman, Kraham lead the way with three goals apiece

EASTON, Pa. – The Lafayette College men's lacrosse team used a pair of 3-0, first-half runs to pull away from Drexel Tuesday night and hang on by a 13-11 final inside Fisher Stadium.

The sophomore duo of Peter Lehman and Kalman Kraham each scored three goals to lead the way for the Leopards while Lehman added an assist to his ledger.

Freshman goalkeeper Gabe Cummins earned the win while notching 11 saves in between the pipes.

The Leopards got off to a quick start, scoring two unanswered in the game's first 2:15 courtesy of junior Ryan Duncan and Lehman. Drexel quickly responded and evened the score over the next three minutes with back-to-back answers.

Lehman would score two goals, just 13 seconds apart in the final 16 seconds of the first quarter to give Lafayette all of the momentum after the opening frame.

Sophomore John Mathes joined the fun in the opening minute of the second period to make it three-unanswered by the Leopards. The Maroon and White would sandwich a Drexel goal with three more tallies, two by Kraham and one by junior Brian Collins to make it 9- heading into the break.

The visitors would not go away, scoring three goals in the third quarter while holding Lafayette scoreless in those 15 minutes to make it just a one-goal game going into the fourth.

Drexel would make it four-unanswered, scoring first in the final quarter before senior Cole Dutton and sophomore Jacob Freeman answered. The Dragons would make it a one-goal game again at 11-10 with a man-up goal before back-to-back tallied by Freeman and Kraham, just 37 seconds apart, to clinch it.

Sophomore Charlie Cunniffe and Duncan each had two assists while sophomore Aidan Kelly picked up eight ground balls, going 13-18 at the faceoff X.

The Leopards stay right at home, hosting Binghamton on Saturday inside Fisher Stadium with faceoff set for 6 p.m.
