Men's Soccer Welcomes Six to Class of 2026

The class of 2026 hails from Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, Maryland, and Idaho

EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette College men's soccer head coach Dennis Bohn has announced that the program has signed six student-athletes to its class of 2026.
 
The program welcomes Nicholas Bernieri, Connor DeAngelis, Eric Axtman, Jeovany Gamez, Nicholas Liebich, and Sebastian Tis to the squad.

MSOC Signing Day - Bernieri
 
Nicholas Bernieri will come to College Hill from Garden City, New York, where he plays for Garden City High School. He is a three-time Region 1 player traveling internationally to Costa Rica, England, and Portugal. The IMG rated three-star player also played for top-10 nationally ranked South Shore FC.
 
The 5-11 striker is the son of Paul Bernieri, who played for the program from 1985-1988. He has one brother, Joseph.

MSOC Signing Day - DeAngelis
 
Connor DeAngelis will come to Lafayette from Babcock Ranch, Florida. DeAngelis plays for Northwood School, along with Black Rock FC. He was named to the Bimbo All-American Watch List this past fall.
 
The midfielder has also spent time playing with the Oakwood Academy in the USSDA.
 
He is the son of Anthony DeAngelis and Carmina DeAngelis and has one sister, Ava. His uncle, Danny Vargas, played soccer at FIU.

MSOC Signing Day - Axtman
 
Hailing from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is Eric Axtman. Axtman currently plays for Central Dauphin High School and is a four years starter in goal. He is a three-time MidPenn Commonwealth Conference Champion, a two-time District 3, 4A Champion. Axtman was a MidPenn Commonwealth All-Conference Second Team selection in 2019 and 2020, a MidPenn Commonwealth All-Conference First Team selection in 2021 and a PennLive All-Star First Team selection in 2020 and 2021.
 
The 6-1 goalkeeper started in 71 games throughout his high school career, recording 33 clean sheets and a career 0.83 goals against average. His senior season he recorded a 0.62 goals against average.
 
Axtman also played for the EPYSA ODP U18 2003 Boys Team for the 2020-21 season as well as CASA 03 United Elite. He was an EPYSA State Cup Champion in 2019 and a finalist in 2018 and 2021.  
 
He is the son of Greg Axtman and Sarah Adam Axtman, and has two siblings August and John. August played soccer at King's College and John currently plays soccer at Saint Joseph's University.

MSOC Signing Day - Gamez
 
Next up in the Leopards Class of 2026 is Jeovany Gamez who will arrive on College Hill from Hanover, Maryland attending Meade High School.  
 
He is a starter for the U19 Baltimore Armour Academy in the MLS NEXT League.  He was also a part of the team that won the 2021 Dallas Cup.
 
The 5-9 outside back is the son of Jose Gamez and Dora Marina Gamez. He has two siblings, one brother, Cristian, and one sister Nancy.

MSOC Signing Day - Liebich
 
Nicholas Liebich will come to Easton from Boise, Idaho. The 6-5 center back was a 2020 Idaho State Champion with Riverstone International School. He was named First Team All-Conference and First Team All-State, and was the 2020 Southern Idaho Conference Player of the Year and Idaho State Player of the Year.
 
He currently plays for The Taft School in Watertown, Connecticut, where he was named a New England Soccer Journal Best XI in 2021.
 
Nicholas is the son of Kurt Liebich and Treacy Liebich, and has three sisters, Carly, Maggie and Annie. Father, Kurt, played hockey and lacrosse at Bowdoin College and sister, Maggie, runs track and cross country at Princeton.

MSOC Signing Day - Tis
 
The class of 2026's final recruit is Sebastian Tis who will come to College Hill from Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. He played for Conestoga High School where he was a four year starter at midfield. During his career Tis has won a PIAA state title, district title, three league titles and over his last two years, has helped his team to a 40-0 record.   
 
Tis was named an All-American and All-Region selection by United Soccer Coaches and was named the Pennsylvania State Player of the Year and received All-State honors by the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association. The midfielder was named the MVP of the Central League. He also plays for U19 FC Delco Academy competing in the MLS NEXT League.
 
He is the son of Paul Tis and Larissa Comis and has two siblings, Jackson and Nathaniel.
