BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lafayette track and field team continued its season at the Greyhound Invitational.
On the men's side,
Ryan Moore opened the action, finishing 15th in the 200 meter run in a time of 23.72. He also came back to finish 13th in the 400 meter run in a time of 51.82.Â
Jesse Schmeizer had a huge performance for Lafayette, as he finished third in the 800 meter run in a time of 1:57.38.Â
Another strong performance came from
Emil Arangala, as he finished 14th in the 1,500 meter run in a time of 4:22.79 in a very competitive field.
Isaiah Moore also had a third place finish, with his coming in the high jump with a mark of 6' 4
3/4". In the triple jump,
Quinn Curtin brought forth a strong performance, finishing fourth with a jump of 42' 3
1/4".
Moving into the shot put with a strong showing was
Harrison Greenhill, also finishing third with a mark of 49' 9
1/4". He also finished second in the discus with a toss of 151' 1". Finishing behind him in sixth was
Fischer Biggs with a mark of 138' 4".
The hammer throw was another success event for Lafayette as well. Leading the way was
Andrew Swiniarski, finishing third with a toss of 154' 6". Behind him was
Devin Rosmarin (4th, 152' 11") and
Andrew Bowsher (7th, 147' 6").
The javelin was another dominant showing as well, with the Leopards taking first and second. Leading the pack was
Billy Prebola with a toss of 201' 9". Behind him in second was
Dylan Drescher with a toss of 174' 1".
On the women's side,
Portia McKoy opened the action, finishing ninth in the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.68.
Julia Eustace had a big meet for Lafayette, as she finished fourth overall in the 1,500 meter run in a time of 4:52.13.Â
The 100 meter hurdles was another successful event as well.
Jill Warabak lead the way, finishing third overall in a time of 14.99. Behind Warabak in fifth was
Angel Awono in a time of 15.92.
In the high jump,
Melina Panagakos had a good showing, finishing sixth with a mark of 4' 9". In the pole vault,
Annie Hathaway lead the way with a tied for second performance with a mark of 11' 1
3/4".
In the triple jump,
Juliette Delmotte had a huge performance, finishing first with a mark of 38' 8
1/4". Finishing behind Delmotte in fourth was
Claire Fedor with a mark of 35' 4
1/2".
Grace O'Mara had another big meet for Lafayette. In the discus, she finished third with a toss of 133' 8". She also finished eighth in the shot put with a toss of 39' 1
1/4".
Closing out the action was
Caity McTernan, finishing third in the javelin with a mark of 127' 0".Â
