Maroon-White Spring Game Slated For Saturday

Annual event caps spring season and will be followed by team banquet

EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette will wrap up the spring football season with the Maroon-White Spring Game on Saturday at noon. The Leopards will participate in a 50-play controlled scrimmage on the Fisher Stadium FieldTurf. The event is free and open to the public and will be preceded by a gathering with bagels and coffee underneath the press box in Fisher Stadium.

With an eye on continued injury prevention, the coaching staff has opted for a situational format for the spring game which includes a mixture of live scrimmaging with instructional periods. The team is slated to work through red-zone, two-minute drill and third-down situations while also incorporating special teams schemes in the practice session.

The spring game will be followed by the football banquet which will be held in Marquis Dining Hall at a cost of $25 per person.

On Saturday, season ticket holders are encouraged to pick up their tickets and parking passes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the ticket office in Kirby Sports Center. Season tickets can also be purchased online.

The Lafayette football program is under the direction of John Troxell '94 who is in his first season at the helm after 16 seasons as the head coach at Franklin and Marshall. The 2022 season kicks off Sept. 3 when the Leopards host Sacred Heart in the first of six home games.
