SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Maroon and White closed out the final round of the Savannah Intercollegiate at the par-72 Club at Savannah Harbor. The Leopards finished in 10th place with a team score of 897.
Sophomore Raymond Dennehy paced Lafayette, finishing tied for 20th place. Dennehy opened with a 75 in round one, followed by a 71 in round two and a 74 in the final round. Classmate Sean Saw finished tied for 43rd with a 10-over score of 226.
Senior Martin Vanhaelst had an impressive third round, shooting two-under par 70. Vanhaelst holed three birdies in the final round, scoring 228 total to finish tied for 51st. Sophomore Michael Walsh shot an 83 in the first round, followed by an even-par 72 in the second round. Walsh closed out the weekend tied for 55th place with a 74 in round three to total 229.
The Maroon and White will return to the links for the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club in Williamsburg, Va. on March 27
