BETHLEHEM, Pa.- Lafayette field hockey's junior midfielder
Lineke Spaans was named the Patriot League's first Offensive Player of the Week for the 2023 season as announced on Monday afternoon by the conference office.
The Bussum, Netherlands native racked in over 80 minutes against Wagner and Ohio State over the past weekend, snaking through the midfield to convert plays inside the 25-yard line for the Leopards. Spaans currently leads the program with a league-high six points on two goals and two assists in the 5-0 season-opening victory against the Seahawks.
Most recently, Spaans was added to the 2023 Preseason All-Patriot League Team alongside junior co-captain
India Ralph.
Next up, the Maroon and White travel to Vermont and UMass on Sept. 1 and 3, respectively.
