LEWISBURG, Pa. -- On a windy day in the mid-Atlantic region, the Lafayette golf team battled through the elements to shoot the best team score of the day. The Leopards' 9-over-par 289 advanced their position on the team leaderboard eight spots.
Senior
Sean Saw had the low round of day, shooting an even-par 70 thanks to four birdies. Saw (145) sits tied for 26th in the 108-golfer field. Junior
Harry Dessel is 2-over-par for the tournament (69-73) and is tied for 11th overall, following a second round that featured a pair of birdies.Â
Freshman
Travis Robertson rests t-18th, shooting 4-over-par for the tournament (70-74). He leads the field with 30 pars through 36 holes. Senior
Quint Dingledine (t-59) shaved four strokes off his first-round total to shoot a 73 on Monday. He is tied with freshman
Michael DiNapoli who is playing as an independent. He cooled off a bit after an opening-round 68, but has a team-best seven birdies in the tournament. Rookie
Reed Theiss (78-73, t-66) is one shot back of Dingledine and DiNapoli.
Sophomore
Hudson Pace (72-80), who is playing as an independent, is in a six-way tie for 71st place.
Michael Bell is 16-over par in 89th place.Â
The Leopards will wrap up the three-day even on Tuesday morning at the par-70, 6,253-yard Bucknell Golf Club. The opening foursomes are set to tee off on holes one (9 a.m.) and nine (9:20 a.m.).Â
