LEWISBURG, Pa. - On a chilly Tuesday, freshman
Travis Robertson had his best round as a Leopard, carding a 67 after shooting 70-74 in the first two rounds. Robertson (211), who was participating as an individual, took eighth place in the 108-golfer field.
As a team, Lafayette shot 875, solidifying its position in eighth place at the Bucknell Invitational, in a field that included 18 schools. Senior
Sean Saw and junior
Harry Dessel both shot seven-over-par for the tournament, landing them in an eight-way tie for 22nd place. Saw followed up his even-par 70 in the second round by carding a 72. Dessel scored 217 (69-73-75) for the event.Â
Freshman
Reed Theiss shaved four strokes off his round two score (74) to shoot a one-under-par 69. Theiss' 220 for the invitational landed him tied for 35th. Classmate and individual golfer
Michael DiNapoli tied with two other golfers for 75th after carding 68-82-78.
Senior
Quint Dingledine shot 222 (77-73-72) to land tied for 51st. Sophomore
Hudson Pace rebounded from day two, which saw him shoot 10-over-par. Pace chopped off seven strokes to end with a three-over-par 73 and tied for 60th with a score of 225. Senior
Michael Bell finished 23-over-par for the event, tying for 90th.
Lafayette travels home and will participate in the Lehigh Invitational on Oct. 19-20 at Saucon Valley Country Club.Â
