Lafayette Rises to Third at Lehigh Invitational

Dingledine's and Dessel's first round lead the way for the Leopards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lafayette's last invitational of 2024 got off to a good start on Saturday, using its momentum from last week to land in third place after the first round of the Lehigh Invitational. The Leopards shot 301 as a team, only two strokes out of first in the nine-team field at the par-72, 7,051-yard Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.

Senior Quint Dingledine and freshman Travis Robertson helped propel the Maroon and White after a first round that saw both men finish within the top 10 in the 44-participant field. Dingledine sits t-3 after a round of even-par golf. Robertson carded a 75, leaving him tied for eighth with four other golfers.

Senior Sean Saw and junior Harry Dessel both shot five-over-par, leaving both golfers t-17. Sophomore Winston Kelenc-Blank currently sits tied for 24th after carding a 78. Junior Valdemar Kofod-Olsen, participating as an individual, shot 13-over-par and is tied with two other golfers in 40th.

Lafayette will take on the Grace Course one more time, teeing off its second and final round on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
