BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lafayette split two the four Patriot League field hockey weekly awards when the conference office announced honors on Monday afternoon.
Raffi Fragomeni was named the Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time this season, while
Katie Gibb earned her second career honor.
Gibb led a Lafayette defense that held Bucknell to nine shots and two shots on goal in a 2-0 victory over the Bison to improve to 2-1 in league play. The sophomore defender also scored the game-winning goal against the Bison, handing the program its first conference loss of the year. The Vancouver native was part of a Leopards' defense that limited Providence to four shots with just three on goal and five corners in Sunday's 2-1 win.
Fragomeni posted a .800 save percentage and 0.50 goals-against average following both outings. The junior posted two saves and a shutout against the Bison as well as two stops against the Big East's Friars. She ranks second in the Patriot League for her 1.352 goals-against average and .364 shutouts per game.
Lineke Spaans was listed as an honorable mention for her efforts on the turf.
Next up, the Maroon and White host Lehigh on Friday for the Rivalry matchup, taking place at 6 p.m. on Rappolt Field.
