EASTON, Pa. - On Monday afternoon, Madison Skeie joined the Lafayette field hockey staff as an assistant coach for the upcoming fall slate.
Skeie comes to the Maroon and White after serving as an assistant coach at Quinnipiac University for the last two seasons. She helped guide the squad to the winningest season in 10 years, amassing 10 victories last fall. The West Creek, N.J. native played a key role in the recruitment and development of a Third Team All-American, the Big East Co-Offensive Player of the Year and Midfielder of the Year. She also helped oversee team academics as Quinnipiac posted a top five team GPA among NCAA Division I field hockey programs in 2025.
"Skeie brings a great amount of energy, enthusiasm and experience to our program," head coach Jennifer Stone said. "We are excited for her passion for the game and coaching to join us here at LCFH. Welcome to College Hill!"
Prior to Quinnipiac, Skeie spent 2022-23 at Monmouth, helping guide the program to the Coastal Athletic Association regular-season title. She assisted in the development of a Third Team All-American, the CAA Rookie of the Year and five all-conference selections.
Skeie began her collegiate coaching career at Johnson & Wales University, where she helped lead the program to its first Great Northeast Athletic Conference championship and a 2021 NCAA Division III Tournament appearance. The team recorded a program-record 17 wins and produced its first National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-American.
In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Skeie has served on the USA Field Hockey Junior National Camp Selection Committee (both U16 and U18) and has coached extensively at the club level in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Connecticut.
A former team captain at Providence College, Skeie was a four-year member of the field hockey program and a Big East All-Academic Team selection. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Broadcasting and Media Production in 2020 a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership at Quinnipiac in 2025.
