Eight Players Earn All-PL Football Recognition

Leopards garner three spots on first team and five on second team

EASTON, Pa.  – Lafayette football placed eight student-athletes on the All-Patriot League football teams announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Jamar Curtis made a return to the All-Patriot League First Team. The running back from Waldorf, Md. ran for his second straight 1,000-yard season, despite battling injury through much of his junior season.  Curtis finished with 1,139 yards (94.9 yards per game), ascending into sixth place on Lafayette's career rushing list (3,064). He scored 16 touchdowns this season, tying him for the single-season record, and he has 32 career rushing TD's, resting fourth all-time. He is one of just four Leopards to rush for 3,000 or more yards and has 16 career 100-yard rushing games.

Curtis has been a finalist for the Walter Payton Award, given annually to the nation's top offensive player, for two straight seasons. The film and media studies major earned Associated Press and Stats Perform All-America Second-Team in 2023 when he finished second in the nation in rushing and led the Leopards to a Patriot League title.

Two members of the Lafayette secondary, Saiku White and Gabe DuBois, joined Curtis on the All-Patriot League First Team.

Like Curtis, it's the second straight First-Team honoring for the senior safety who has served as a captain for the last two seasons. White native started 11 games in his final season on College Hill and led the team with 87 tackles and three interceptions. The Atlanta native started 37 career games, including all but one game his final three seasons. He garnered Associated Press All-America Third-Team status in 2023. White was named a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award earlier on Tuesday.

DuBois and White shared the team lead in interceptions this season, each with three. DuBois started 38 career games at cornerback and played in 45. The Cincinnati native finished fourth on the team in tackles (52) and was second in the Patriot League in passes defended (15) as a senior. For the Psychology major, it is his first All-Patriot League selection.

Dallas Holmes, Ryder Langsdale and Elijah Steward secured All-Patriot League Second-Team honors on offense.
For Holmes, it is his first selection to All-Patriot League squad. The Bethlehem, Pa. native had 12 catches for 112 yards over 11 games and added in three touchdowns, validating his Preseason All-Patriot League selection. Holmes has played in 26 games with 12 career starts and took over as the main option at tight end in 2024.

Langsdale, who was an All-Patriot League Second-Team honoree in 2023, started every game at left tackle for the Leopards for the third straight season. The International Affairs major was a team captain who anchored the offensive line, helping the Leopards to finish second in the conference in rushing. A native of Ridgewood, N.J., Langsdale started 35 career games.

For Steward, a wide receiver from Galloway, N.J., it is his second-consecutive Second-Team naming. Steward missed four games midway through the season but still managed to lead the Leopards in receiving for the second straight season. The Economics major finished with 46 catches for 635 yards and a touchdown after collecting Preseason All-Patriot League laurels.

Juniors Tyree Morris and Dylan Aguilera round out the All-Patriot League Second Team for the Leopards. Morris was the mainstay of the defensive line from his tackle position. The Mechanicsburg, Pa. native finished second on the team in tackles (65), adding in five tackles for loss with two sacks and four pass breakups.

Like Morris, Aguilera missed all of 2023 with injury, but came back to earn All-Patriot League recognition. Aguilera was selected at long snapper in the first season in which the Patriot League has recognized the position with postseason honors. The Elkridge, Md. native was a key member of the Leopards' special team coverage units and also handled snapping for the PAT and field goal units.

Lafayette finished the season 6-6 overall and 2-4 in conference play.
