150 Leopards Selected to PL’s Fall Academic Honor Roll

The Maroon and White posted a 3.41 student-athlete GPA average in 2023

EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette placed 150 student-athletes on the Patriot League's 2023-24 Fall Academic Honor Roll as announced on Thursday afternoon.

To be eligible for the Fall Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20-grade point average (GPA) in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports. The seven sports included are men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.

In total, Bucknell recorded a League-high 174 student-athletes on the fall academic honor roll with Colgate (147) placing third. Lehigh had 142 student-athletes earn fall academic honors, as Holy Cross (127), American (92), Boston University (92), Loyola Maryland (78), Navy (77) and Army West Point (53) rounded out the conference's full-member institutions. Associate members Georgetown (55) and Fordham (49) also contributed to the League's final total.

Lafayette women's soccer paced the conference programs, while volleyball took second behind Loyola, Md. Men's soccer and football earned rights to third in the Patriot League.

The Patriot League champion football team led the way within College Hill at 51 selections, followed by women's soccer (26), men's soccer (20), field hockey (17), volleyball (16), women's cross country (14) and men's cross country (6).

Additionally, 255 Leopards were named to Lafayette's fall Dean's List, requiring a 3.6 GPA, and 36 student-athletes recorded 4.0 GPAs. Lafayette student-athletes posted a 3.41 GPA during the fall semester.
