EASTON, Pa. – The Leopards competed in day two of the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational at Northampton Country Club on Monday.
The Lafayette Maroon (599) and Lafayette White (614) finished seventh and 12th, respectively.
Sophomore Harry Dessel led the way, carding a 72 and 71 in the two rounds for an overall 143, one-under-par, on the par-72, 6675-yard course. Freshman Eli Myers placed t-19 (148) and classmate Winston Kelenc-Blank tied for 25th (150). Junior Quint Dingledine (78-75) and freshman Hudson Pace (77-76) tied for 44th with 153 overall.
Senior Carter Ablon shot a score of 154 (78-76), finishing t-48, and junior Sean Saw placed t-56 with 155 (77-78) overall. Sophomore Valdemar Kofod-Olsen managed 60th with an 82 in round one and a 74 in round two for 156. Junior Michael Bell and sophomore Boyoung Chang placed t-69 (78-82-160) and t-74 (82-79-161), respectively.
Lehigh took home team honors, shooting a four-under par 572. Jake Mrva from Fordham earned first place overall after carding a five-under par 139 (72-67).
The Maroon and White compete again Thursday at the Presidents' Cup vs. Lehigh at Hamilton Farm Golf Club.
