BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Leopards sit in second as a team after the first round of the Patriot League Championship on Friday at Saucon Valley Country Club, Grace Course. Junior Sean Saw sits in first place after day one.
Saw carded a 70, two-under-par, on the 72-par, 7091-yard course, leaving with three birdies and only one bogey.
Freshmen Winston Kelenc-Blank and Hudson Pace are tied for 18th with a pair of 75s while sophomore Harry Dessel and junior Quint Dingledine shot 76s, tying for 23rd at the end of day one. Rounding out the scores for Lafayette, senior Carter Ablon finished t-29 with a score of 77.
Army West Point leads the team leaderboard with a 291 overall. The Leopards trail by five strokes, heading into round two with a 296, eight-over-par, tied with Loyola.
The Maroon and White will tee off at 11 a.m. Saturday for day two of the PL Championship.
