Mathes and McGee Named to All-Patriot League Second Team

The pair of seniors received their first all-conference laurels

EASTON, Pa. – Senior captains John Mathes and Tommy McGee were selected to the All-Patriot League Second Team on Monday afternoon.

Mathes recorded a single-season career-high 28 goals and five assists en route to his first career selection to an all-conference team. The Ridgefield, Conn. native garnered 33 points this season, while leading the Leopards as one of six team captains. The Economics major scored three or more goals in five games this year, including a six-goal performance against Binghamton (2/24).

McGee led Lafayette in caused turnovers (24), while picking up 30 ground balls in his final campaign on College Hill. The Economics major also ranked fourth in the Patriot League in caused turnovers per game, averaging 1.85 each outing. The Ridgewood, N.J. native served as a team captain for three seasons and his reliability shows through his 59 career games played.
