EASTON, Pa.- Meghan Reese joined the Lafayette field hockey coaching staff as announced by head coach
Jennifer Stone on Thursday morning.
Reese comes to College Hill after spending the 2023 season playing for Loughborough University in England.
"It is with open arms that we welcome Meghan to Lafayette field hockey," Stone said. "Her experiences, values, and eagerness are going to be a great addition to our coaching staff and we are looking forward to what's ahead. Welcome to College Hill, Meghan!"
Prior to her time across the pond, she spent four years as a field hockey student-athlete at Penn State University, graduating in December 2022 with a B.S. in Biobehavioral Health and a minor in Biology.
Reese started in 69 and played in over 80 contests, helping the program to a 2022 Big Ten regular season championship title, a NCAA Tournament semi-finalists laurel and a Big Ten Sportsmanship award.
During her final campaign, she was selected to the NFHCA DI Senior Game. As a two-year team captain, she was also a member of the leadership council. While in Happy Valley, she aided the sport camps office as an assistant as well as a camp registration support staff member.
From February to May 2023, Reese served as the head coach for the State College Area School District, leading 30 players from three different middle schools.
Outside of sports, Reese was a sales representative and senior advisor for Vector Marketing Corporation in Allentown, Pa.
The Maroon and White open the 2024 season at home against Vermont on Aug 30 at 6 p.m.
