BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Lafayette fencing team traveled to LIU to take part in the Shark Invitational at Steinberg Wellness Center.
The Lafayette men fenced in matches against Hunter, LIU, Wagner and NYU, defeating Hunter and LIU. The Lafayette women fenced in matches against Hunter, LIU, Wagner, Yeshiva and NYU, winning against Hunter, LIU and Yeshiva.
The men were led by junior epee
Tyler Morse, who went 10-2 on the day. Freshman epee
Ryan Leibowitz won eight bouts, while freshman sabre
Nikita Kogan, senior foil
Amir Whitehead, senior epee
Antoine Mannes and freshman sabre
Jordan Ginsberg all won seven bouts each. Senior foil
Chris Davis and sophomore
Sam Gilpin had six and four wins, respectively. Junior foil

Christopher Rafferty also competed for Lafayette.
The women were paced by senior epee
Zoe O'Connor, who recorded a 12-3 record in the five matches that the Leopards fenced. Freshman foil

Brooke Lippe both recorded 10 wins, while senior foil
Anna Silver and junior sabre
Allison Ramsay had nine victories each. Freshman epee
Hilla Wetherill won eight bouts and sophomore sabre

Nina Qiu had seven victories each.
The Leopards are next in action when they host Rutgers on senior day on Monday.
