MADISON, N.J. -  The Lafayette fencing team competed in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Championships on Saturday at Drew University, as the Leopards qualified a total of 16 fencers for the event, nine men and seven women. 

On the men's side, Lafayette was led by senior foil Chris Davis, who finished in 17^th place and advanced to the third round of pool play. Senior epee Antione Mannes finished the event in 19^th place, while senior foil Benito Hergert finished 22^nd. Freshman sabre Jordan Ginsberg placed 24^th and junior epee Tyler Morse ended the day in 27^th place. Senior foil Amir Whitehead finished in 33^rd place and freshman sabre Nikita Kogan ended the event in 36^th place. Sophomore sabre Sam Gilpin and freshman epee Ryan Liebowitz placed 42^nd and 47^th, respectively.

Senior epee Zoe O'Connor had the best finish for the women, ending the event in 21^st . Freshman foil Zoe Lenz placed 27^th and freshman epee Hilla Wetherill finished 33^rd. Senior foil Anna Silver placed 34^th and junior sabre Allison Ramsay finished 36^th.  Senior sabre Brooke Lippe and freshman foil Nina Qiu placed 37^th and 39^th, respectively.
