MADISON, N.J. - The Lafayette fencing team competed in the MACFA Championships on Sunday at Drew University.
As a team, the men placed fourth in the foil, had a fifth-place finish in the sabre and ended the event in sixth place in the epee.
Individually for the men, senior
Antoine Mannes placed first, winning the individual title in the epee. In the foil, senior
Benito Hergert placed third and senior
Amir Whitehead placed 15
th. In the sabre, freshman
Nikita Kogan placed fifth and freshman Jordan Ginsburg placed seventh.
Sophomore
Sam Gilpin, junior
Tyler Morse, freshman Ryan Liebowitz and senior
Chris Davis also competed for Lafayette.
The Leopards are next in action in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional on Saturday at a site to be determined.
