SPRINGFIELD, Pa. - Lafayette finished in sixth place in the 12-team field at the Columbia Spring Invitational on Monday. Over 36 holes of golf, the Leopards carded a collective 595 at the par-70, 6,789-yard Rolling Green Golf Club.
Freshman
Travis Robertson earned a t-20 finish after shooting eight-over-par for the day. Senior
Quint Dingledine carded a 150, placing t-29.
Winston Kelenc-Blank (151) and
Sean Saw (152) finished t-35 and t-43, respectively. Junior
Harry Dessel finished t-49 after shooting 14-over-par.
Freshmen
Michael DiNapoli and
Harrison Browne were the only two individual golfers for Lafayette. DiNapoli carded a 159, landing t-62, while Browne (161) finished t-65.
Yale finished as the top team, shooting a 567. Three golfers tied for first in the 72-participant field, as Arkansas' John Daly II, Dartmouth's Tyler Brand and Yale's Matthew Lin all shot one-under-par.
The Leopards' next time on the course will be when they host the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational at Northampton Country Club on April 6-7.Â
