LEWISBURG, Pa. - Senior
Quint Dingledine finished the Patriot League Championship tied for first on Sunday, as he shot a 208 (69-68-71) over three days. Dingledine collected 12 birdies during the event at the Bucknell Golf Club, earning All-Patriot League First-Team honors.
The Richmond, Va. native entered the morning tied for second place, sitting one stroke behind Loyola's Gustavo Rangel. With bogeys in three of his first six holes, Dingledine netted a birdie on the ninth hole to gain momentum at the turn. Through the back nine, the senior managed pars on eight holes, collecting one more birdie to move into a tie for first place with Holy Cross' Nolan Schuermann. The two golfers finished the final round tied at one-over-par, forcing a playoff. Schuermann won the first playoff hold and captured medalist honors.
Lafayette landed seventh in the team competition, as the the Leopards were 25-over-par over 54 holes at the par-72, 5,926-yard course. Loyola won the team title after carding
a nine-over-par (849).
Sophomore
Winston Kelenc-Blank shot 216 (72-71-73) to place t-18 overall. Freshman
Reed Theiss jumped one spot to t-30 after he posted
a five-over-par on day three and 11-over-par overall. Junior
Harry Dessel was 13-over to rise four spots to 36th. Senior
Sean Saw and freshman
Travis Robertson both rested t-41 after both golfers shot 226.
