EASTON, Pa. -Â Senior midfielder
Sophia Spallone earned a spot on the 2025 Academic All-Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Team, announced by the conference office on Wednesday morning.
The Yorktown Heights, N.Y. native made the 13-member team after excelling both in the classroom and on the field this spring, posting a cumulative grade-point average of 3.73 as the Leopards' main midfield threat.
To be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key reserve player in their sport. Freshmen are not eligible for this honor, as it tracks from the previous spring semester.
Spallone led the Leopards in points (34) this season with 25 goals and nine assists through all 16 games, proving her skills worthy of a 2025 Second Team All-Conference award on April 28.
The senior posted a team-high .490 shot percentage on 30+ attempts (51 total shots with 39 on goal). Her .765 shots-on-goal percentage is complemented by her 5-of-8 free position tallies.
Spallone is credited with the game-winning goal at Central Connecticut State on March 5 and earned a career-high four points in the 11-10 win against Bucknell on April 16. The Mathematics and Economics major caused eight turnovers, collected 29 draw controls and picked up 12 ground balls in 2025.
She graduates from College Hill with a repertoire of 68 points, 54 goals and 14 assists.
Lafayette concluded the spring season with a 6-10 (2-7 PL) record.
