EASTON, Pa. -- Lafayette Director of Athletics
Sherryta Freeman has been appointed to serve as president of the Division I Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (
FCS ADA) for the 2026-27 school year.
Freeman, who is in her ninth year leading Lafayette's 23-sport Division I athletic program, served as the FCS ADA vice president for three years (2023-24, 2024-25, 2025-26) prior to her elevation to the top role.
"It is an honor to serve as FCS ADA President during such a transformative time in college athletics," Freeman said. "The FCS brand has never been stronger, and our core mission remains centered on providing student-athletes with exceptional opportunities for both athletic excellence and educational development. I am excited to build on the work of past leaders and continue to champion and elevate the student-athlete experience across our division."
