Hello from Holland!!!! We arrived this morning greeted by beautiful weather in the city of Amsterdam. All went well with our traveling expedition. In fact when arriving in the airport we were approached by a local club team wanting to compete against our team. You can tell the normality of field hockey within the culture. It was too bad that we don't have any extra time to play another team.

Our accommodations pass above expectations, apparently our hotel is one of the largest in the area. Mostly today was about settling in and getting used to the time change. We checked into the hotel and had an hour to nap before heading off to practice. We went to a club practice field; it might take some time to get used to their type of artificial surface. Carolyn fell and is still trying to get the sand out of her shoes, but I am sure that everything will work out for her tomorrow. Amy Cohen Action

The most important part of the trip is coming up in about five minutes so we will have to cut this short. It's definitely time for dinner and then off to tour the nearby city. Tomorrow is a full day for us with touring the Hague, and a game in the afternoon. Until tomorrow . . . Amy and Carolyn

May 24: Depart USA for Amsterdam
May 25: Arrive in Amsterdam in the morning, free time to rest, afternoon practice.
May 26: Depart to visit the cheese farm, clog factory, Zaanse Schans and Volendam in the morning, game #1 in the evening.
May 27: Free time in the morning, game #2 in the afternoon.
May 28: Depart to visit Amsterdam for a city walk, including a boat tour through the canals, free time in the city, return to hotel.
May 29: Check out of hotel in the morning, transfer to a motel in the city, free time in the afternoon, game #3 in the evening.
May 30: Bicycle tour in the morning, free time in the afternoon at The Hague, game #4 in the evening.
May 31: Depart for The Hague, city tour along the Houses of Parliament, the Royal Residence "Huls ten Bosch," the Peace Palace and Madurodam, visit the seaside resort of Scheveningen, game #5 in the evening.
June 1: Free day in Amsterdam.
June 2: Check out of hotel, transfer to airport, afternoon departure to the USA.
