Hello again from Holland. Right now we are traveling our bus coming home from the first game against the Forescate Club. This morning we got the chance to take a bus ride through Holland passing through the Hague and Houses of Parliament. We stopped to walk around Madurodam, which is a miniature replica of Holland on a scale of 1 to 25. Ann then treated us to lunch in a nearby restaurant before getting ready for our game. Amy Cohen Action

When we arrived at their clubhouse we walked into a wooden bar room that was decorated especially for us. We were a bit surprised to see our competition doing their pre-game ritual of smoking a pack of cigarettes. However, we soon found out that having a few cigarettes is common practice for before and after games. We played three 25-minute periods. The first period went well with the score at 0-0, but in the end their talented stick work got the best of us. Our styles of play definitely differ, our aggressive nature stands out while their finesse is a key element in their play.

Last night was a bit of an adventure for us. We took a bus to Utrecht and walked around the city. It took us some time to get familiar with the town, but we had a great night. Tonight we are going to Amsterdam!!!! Our team is really looking forward to spending the night in the city. Some of the girls on Forescate clued us in on some popular sights where we will try and stop by. We will let you know if we find a blue light special in the red light district. Until tomorrow . . . .
