Lafayette College Athletics

We just finished our second game against HC Gouda and we are on our way back to the hotel. We had a blast walking through Amsterdam last night, and today came early for most of us. Our tour guides picked us up at the hotel and lead us into the city. All we can say is major diversity. The locals of Amsterdam were extremely friendly and always ready to give us suggestions on new places to go. 

The team we played today was quite personable. After the game we exchanged gifts and ate with the girls in their clubhouse. It was very easy to talk to them, their English was perfect and they were more than accommodating to tell us about Holland. They clued us in on some places to visit the next time we go into the city.

Today has been about relaxing because it is custom here in Holland to spend the day at home with family and friends. But don't worry about us not being able to shop because the next few days we plan on spending some serious guilders (Dutch currency). We hope it is warm and sunny tomorrow because we are taking a boat ride through the canals of Amsterdam. We will let you know how all of that works out tomorrow . . . Amy and Carolyn
