FARMVILLE, Va. - The Lafayette baseball series finale vs. Longwood University on Sunday afternoon has been cancelled due to poor weather conditions. Lafayette took both games from the Lancers (7-4) on Saturday, winning 6-5 in 11 innings in the opener and 5-2 in the nightcap.

Lafayette (2-0) will return to action on Friday beginning a three-game series at Atlantic Coast Conference foe Maryland, the first ACC foe Lafayette has faced during Joe Kinney's tenure. The Terrapins are coming off a three-game home sweep of George Washington and are off to their best start in five seasons.
