Box Score

Philadelphia, Pa. - The Penn field hockey hosted Lafayette in a non-conference game Wednesday night. The Quakers hold a 17-13-2 all-time series edge, but fell for the second year in a row to the Leopards 2-0.

Lafayette (8-1) out-shot Penn (13-6), and had six penalty corners to Penn's one. The Leopards lead the league with five shut outs this season.

The action started rolling in the second half when freshman Deanna DiCroce scored from the top of the circle early in the half. The goal was Dicroce's sixth of the season. Not even a minute later, senior Lindsay Majno scored her fourth goal of the season, assisted by classmate Bridget Hilbig.

Junior goalkeeper Kelsey Andersen had four saves during the game against Penn (3-6). Andersen, selected as a Goalkeeper of the Week twice this season, has a 1.06 GAA in eight games. She has records five of the League's six shutouts in 2009.

The Leopards begin their league play when they travel to Lewisburg and take on Bucknell in a Saturday afternoon match up.
