Covert Classic Results 
The men's and women's track and field teams went in several directions this weekend. Some distance runners went to the Great Dane Classic at the NYC Armory while a majority of the team went to Lehigh for the Covert Classic.
At the Great Dane meet, junior Ryan Stasiowski ran a personal best in the mile (4:16.95) while finishing seventh. His time now ranks him eight all-time at Lafayette. Senior Sean Casey placed seventh in the 800m (1:55.17). Junior Margaret Bruno-Metzger was Lafayette's top female finisher placing sixth in the 3000m (10:15.83).
At the Covert Classic the men finished fourth overall with a total of 74 points while the women finished third with 48 points. Sophomore Stephanie Hazlett began the meet on Friday night with a personal best in the pentathlon (2,821 pts.) finishing second. The Leopards continued their success the next day, coming away with six individual wins.
On the women's side, junior Kerriann Borke won the 60m hurdles in 9.38 in addition to finishing fourth in the long jump (17' 2 ¾"). Freshman Jill Dozier and junior Kelly Clyde earned second place finishes in the 60m dash (8.15) and 200m dash (27.03), respectively.
Sophomore Joelle Neilson was second in the triple jump (35' 4 ½"). Neilson also finished fifth in the long jump (17' 2"). Junior Kelsey Slater added 5' to her personal best in the 20lb weight throw with a throw of 48' 6 ¾" to finish fourth. Senior Liz Graybill finished sixth in the weight throw with a personal best (47' ¾") surpassing her previous best by two feet.
On the men's side, senior Kyle Clayton won the 60m dash with a season-best 6.91. The time also qualified Clayton for the IC4A Championships. Also posting wins were senior Sifiso Takirambudde in the 60m hurdles (8.47), Bradley Williams in the triple jump (45' 8"), sophomore Chris Pregler in the 500m (1:07.81) and Michael Thompson in the pole vault (14'9").
Nick Henderson finished second on misses to Thompson in the pole vault (14'9"). Both vaulters set personal bests. Newcomer Chris Parker was edged out of the 800m clocking in at 1:57.96 for a second place finish.
Senior Adam Ballester was third in the 60m (7.17) with a personal best while freshman Nick Orzol finished third in the long jump (21' 10 ¾") a new personal best. Senior Connor McGee added a fourth place finish in the 35lb weight throw (49' 4 ½").
Leopards they will compete in the Lafayette-Lehigh Dual in Bethlehem on Saturday.
