EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette track and field hosted the annual seven-way meet on Saturday at Metzgar Fields Athletic Complex. The Leopards took first place in six events through-out the day.
The Leopard women finished the day placing second overall with a score of 116 while the men finished third with a score of 98.
Senior Kyle Clayton led the way with two first place finishing in the 100m dash and long jump. He posted a 22'4.5" in the jump and clocked in at 10.67 in the 100m qualifying him for the IC4A's.
Alison Tether finished first in the javelin, with a throw of 123'4" while Margaret Bruno-Metzger and Sean Casey took the top spot in the men's and women's 800m run. Bruno-Metzger posted a time of 2:17.67 while Casey came in at 1:55.00.
The men's 4x400m relay team of Nick DeRosa, Adam Ballester, Sean Casey and Bradley Williams finished with a time of 3:23.52 placing them first out of 10 teams.
Senior Liz Graybill placed second in the hammer throws with a 152'2" throw and in discus threw a 116'4" placing fourth. Classmate Connor McGee came in third in shot put with 47'2.5" and fourth in discus with a throw of 127'10".
Seamas McGuire finished second in javelin with a throw of 191'6" while Kelsey Slater with a throw of 119'8" in discus placed her second.
In the pole vault, Jennifer Kihm finished second with a 9'8" jump while Joelle Neilson placed fourth in the long jump with a 16'7".
In the men's and women's triple jump Williams placed second with a jump of 46' while Kerriann Borke finished third with a jump of 36'6".
The women's 4x100 team of Jill Dozier, Kyara Gray, Megan Matusky and Kelly Clyde posted a time of 50.05 giving them a third place finish. Gray also placed third in the 400m dash with a time of 1:02.15.
The women's 4x400 team of Clyde, Gray, Matusky and Adedayo Adu placed second with a time of 4:03.67.
The Leopards will host the annual Lafayette/Lehigh Dual on Saturday, March 3 starting at 11 a.m. The meet will welcome back Lafayette track and field alumni.
