Day One Results 
LEWISBURG, Pa. - After the first day of the Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Championships Lafayette men's team sits in fourth place with 28 points and the women are in sixth with 12 points. Tomorrow will be the final day of the Championships at Bucknell's Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.
Sophomore Alana Taylor led the way for the Leopards winning the women's javelin with a throw of 142'1". She took the lead on her third throw and held off two Bucknell athletes to win her first title. Taylor kept the javelin title in Lafayette's hand for another year as she followed Allison Tether's victory last season. Tether finished in sixth place with a throw of 127'8"
Seamas McGuire placed third in a very exciting and deep men's javelin. McGuire threw a personal best of 214'7". The javelin throwers helped to start what was to be a very productive day for the all throwers.
Senior Connor McGee finished third in the men's hammer with a personal best throw of 171'11" while Matt Crystal also threw a personal best of 167'7" to finish fifth. Michael Thompson picked up a second place finish in the pole vault with personal best of 15'5".
Liz Graybill finished off a great day for the women throwers with a sixth place finish in the women's hammer with a personal best throw of 157'1" while Kyle Clayton ended of third in the long jump with a jump of 23'10".
On the track side, Sifiso Takirambudde ran a personal best and qualified for the IC4A Championships in the trials of the 110m hurdles. His time of 14.69 qualified him for tomorrow's final.
Kerriann Borke also qualified for the 100m hurdle finals with a time of 15.20. Junior Kelly Clyde qualified for the both the 100m and 200m finals with personal bests in both events.
Clayton qualified for both the 100m and 200m finals. Defending 200m champion senior Adam Ballester also qualified for both the 100m and 200m finals.
Stephanie Hazlett is in fifth place with a score of 615 after the first day of the heptathlon. She finishes out tomorrow with the long jump, javelin, and 800m.
The Leopards will start Saturday with the women's heptathlon which begins at 9:15 a.m. The last event will be completed by 5 p.m.
