Albany, N.Y. - Lafayette fell to No. 10 Albany on Sunday afternoon in a non-league field hockey matchup. Kendall Weedling tallied the lone goal for the Leopards, while Katelyn Arnold made eight saves in the loss.

The Maroon and White moved to 5-7 overall and the Great Danes improved to 10-2. Paula Heuser led the way for Albany with a pair of goals as they took down the Leopards, 5-1.

Lafayette opened the scoring at the 1:45 mark of the first half. Kelsey Mead's initial shot was stopped by Albany's Maxi Primus, but Weedling was able to collected the rebound and slot it home to give the Leopards an early 1-0 lead.

The Great Danes tallied a pair of goals at the 20:48 mark and the 23:53 mark of the first half to take a 2-1 lead. Late in the first half, Albany got on the board again, converting a penalty corner with 33:03 on the clock, to take a 3-1 lead into the half.

With just over ten minutes to play, Albany added to its lead. Arnold made the first save, but Pahila Arnold was able to find the rebound and push a shot past Lafayette's goalie. Three minutes later the Great Danes took advantage of another penalty to score the final goal of the game.

The Leopards are back in action on Saturday against American.
