EASTON, Pa. - The visiting Rider Broncs defeated the Lafayette baseball team on Wednesday afternoon at Kamine Stadium, claiming the contest by a score of 15-4.

Rider pounded out 17 hits in the non-conference affair, scoring in seven different innings and recording multiple runs in six of those frames. Lee Lipinski led the way with four RBIs on three hits, while Nick Richter scored four runs and swiped three bases.

Seniors Tim Lazor and Brett Thompson paced the Lafayette attack with two hits apiece, including a double for each. The Leopards used six pinch-hitters in the game.

The Broncs (21-17) never trailed in the contest, scoring two runs in their first at-bat and four in their second to set the tone. Lafayette (11-23-1) was within striking distance after four innings when the score was 8-4, but the Rider bullpen allowed just one hit over the final four scoreless frames.

The Leopards will have an immediate chance to right the ship, as they welcome the University of Maine to Kamine Stadium on Thursday. Action is scheduled to begin on the Patriot League Network at 3:30 p.m.
