LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Lafayette men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Bison Outdoor Classic this weekend hosted by Bucknell University.

The Lafayette men earned nine points and finished 11th out of the 18 competing schools, while the women placed 20th.

Dave McGriff led the way for the men in the throwing events, placing second in the discus (172' 10"), eighth in the hammer (181' 7") and 16th in the shot put (47' 1"). Fellow thrower Patrick Corcoran finished ahead of McGriff in the shot put and set a new PR with the 13th-best throw of the afternoon at 49' 1".

The women did their work on the track and were highlighted by a pair of top-10 finishes from Alexa Kwapinski and Emily Moore. In a field of 80 runners, Kwapinski shined in the 1500m and took seventh after crossing at 4:44.54.

Moore would later place seventh and set an ECAC qualifying time in the 10000m at 35:50.19, while Jennifer Salvatore set a new PR in the event at 38:24.08. Moore's time was the second fastest in program history, while Salvatore's was sixth-best.

Salvatore was just one of the two new personal bests for Lafayette at the meet as Kelly Reager's time of 2:15.23 in the 800m was a new PR.

Mondschein Multi Full Results

Also in action this weekend was Sam Cutrone and Tyler Hubeny in the Mondschein Multi at Kutztown University. Cutrone hit a new personal best with 6,127 total points in the heptathlon, which earned him sixth, while Hubeny placed 14th with 5,601 points.

The Leopards will return to action next weekend, when they take part in the Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday in Princeton, N.J.
